In 2005 planning consent was granted in respect of part of the land for the erection of a 6 bedroom detached bungalow with a detached garage. Whilst this consent has lapsed we would not foresee any problems having this reinstated. The borough of Spelthorne may be relatively small in area but is densely populated, with a population of 517,887 (2016).
The main urban areas of the borough being Staines, Ashford, Sunbury and Shepperton. The draft South East plan requires that 6,040 new dwellings be provided in the borough (2006-2026). A subsequent recommendation has been made for 8,400 new dwellings be provided in the borough (2006-2026).
We expect the housing target to increase further to 10,000 dwellings.
The Shepperton site is near the banks of the River Thames, in North East Surrey and is only 4.1 miles away from London Heathrow Airport, inside the M25 London ring-road, and 13 miles away from Central London. The main M3 motorway bisects the town which is located in the borough of Spelthorne. The site is over 60 acres in size to give the opportunity to purchase plots in 250, 300, and 500 sq metre sizes, to be released in 2 phases.
