A Sustainable Evidence Based Long Term Investment

The Chiltern and South Bucks (Local UK Councils) Plan

The Chiltern District Council and South Bucks District Council have prepared a joint local plan that has addressed necessary infrastructure changes and strategic issues concerning housing, transport, economic development and the Green Belt.

Over the 20-year plan, a provision has been set for 15,260 new homes within the area. This means an additional 763 net homes a year.

To help meet identified housing and employment needs, 7.83 sq.km (7,830,000 sq m) of land has been removed from the Metropolitan Green Belt.

We are focusing development on our built-up areas and on previously developed land, but will need to supplement this with Green Belt releases where sustainable built area extensions can be achieved without unacceptably harming the purposes or integrity of the Green Belt.
